North Carolina
Missionary Team

The state of North Carolina is served by four couples. Each couple serves by coordinating efforts to support existing churches, train Awana volunteers, and develop Awana clubs in new churches.

Our Calendar and Events pages list upcoming area & state-wide training events, as well as great opportunities for good Christian family fun. Please see our Resources page for leader & parenting helps and also some fun for the kids. To find out what Awana missionaries do, watch the Video: The Advocate or click on the “Missionaries” page. To get to know your North Carolina Awana missionaries, click on their photos. Visit the Ministry Team page, where in addition to your missionaries, you’ll find a list of experienced well-trained volunteers ready & waiting to serve you.

Each missionary family raises funds to support their ministry and living expenses. If you are interested in making a contribution, please call or email the Awana Missionary. You may give on-line by visiting the Awana donation page.

Leader and Family Training

Awana is committed to families. For years Awana clubs have been an effective way churches could teach God's word to children and involve entire families in church activities. Recognizing today's exceptional challenges to families, Awana has developed a broad range of resources to give leaders and parents tools to help kids grow spiritually.

Leadership training has always been part of Awana's ministry to local churches. Our annual conferences give Awana leaders the know-how and tools they can use in their clubs and personal lives to help children learn scripture, understand the gospel, and communicate their faith.

Awana offers resources that encourage parents and other adults who care for children to be active partners in their children's spiritual growth. With the help of these conferences, seminars and materials, Awana helps spiritual development be more than an activity at church; it becomes life.
